Lewisburg Area High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our girls wrestling program as the Head Coach for the inaugural season. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances the skills and performance of each athlete.
- Organize and conduct daily practice sessions, focusing on technique, conditioning, and strategy.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork.
- Recruit and retain student-athletes, promoting the benefits of the wrestling program within the school and community.
- Collaborate with athletic staff, parents, and the school administration to ensure the program's success and compliance with all regulations.
- Plan and oversee the scheduling of competitions, transportation, and logistics for matches and tournaments.
Requirements
- Previous experience coaching wrestling at the high school level or higher is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their personal and team goals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing practices and competitions.
