Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide support in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Help clients engage in community activities and social interactions to promote inclusion.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, including vital signs, and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Uphold resident rights and ensure that all interactions are respectful and dignified.
- Assist with heavy lifting as needed for mobility or transfers.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' overall well-being.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience in the following areas:
- Long-term care or home community care settings.
- Direct support roles that involve working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with resident rights and advocacy for individuals receiving care.
- Skills in meal preparation and nutrition management for clients.
- Ability to perform vital sign checks as part of routine health monitoring.
