Job Summary
Skyline Provisions, Inc., a premium USDA meat purveyor located in Harvey, IL is looking for a reliable and detailed-oriented Production Worker.
The Production Worker is responsible for operating equipment in a production environment and preparing items for distribution. This involves assembling and checking products, ensuring all machinery runs smoothly, and assisting in the packaging and shipment of product.
Responsibilities
- Weighing and cutting meat to meet the client’s specifications.
- Wrapping and packing meat products according to company guidelines.
- Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
- Reports all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor
- Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
- Responsible for notifying a Production Lead or Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
Qualifications
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with assembly line processes is a plus
- Experience operating forklifts, hand tools, and power tools is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management is advantageous
- Reliable team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
