American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery float pool position requiring AWHONN intermediate certification or above and flexibility to work both L&D and postpartum units on night shifts.

Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit, part of a maternity float pool

Requires flexibility to work in both L&D and Postpartum (PP) settings

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)

36 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday rotation

Epic EMR experience required

Local candidates are accepted
-
Active MA RN license required; a pending MA license is acceptable at time of application, but the MA conditional (temp) license must be applied for within 48 hours of offer acceptance

Minimum 1–2 years of L&D experience required; 3+ years strongly preferred (candidates with 1–2 years must have travel experience)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP

AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring certification or higher required

Epic EMR experience required

Two references required for consideration, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher

Candidates must have a clear nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions

Two pass/fail exams are administered during orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam; each exam allows only one attempt, and a failed exam will result in immediate contract cancellation

Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and facility orientation

Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
