Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and vehicle recovery towing equipment, to safely load and transport vehicles.
- Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to ensure tow trucks are in optimal condition.
- Follow cargo securement protocols to guarantee safe transportation of vehicles and prevent accidents during transit.
- Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical issues that may affect towing or recovery operations.
- Assist customers with car towing requests, providing excellent customer service with professionalism and empathy.
- Execute safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Manage vehicle recovery operations efficiently, including accident scene management and vehicle retrieval from difficult locations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving or automotive repair, with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating heavy-duty tow trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and automotive mechanics for truck drivers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques.
- Excellent driving skills with experience in manual transmission vehicles and flatbed tow trucks.
- Ability to manage conflict situations professionally while maintaining safety standards.
- Prior experience in vehicle recovery towing or vehicle mechanics is a plus.
