Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will support our providers in delivering high-quality care by performing both clinical and administrative duties. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working directly with patients to support their health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
- Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information
- Complete chart preparation
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during patient visits
- Administer medications or injections as directed by the provider
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Schedule appointments and maintain patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and medical equipment
- Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or equivalent) preferred but not required for candidates with applicable experience.
- Experience in a family practice, primary care, or outpatient clinical setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of eCW is a plus
- Phlebotomy certification or training is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
