American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Warrenton, VA, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and AHA-certified ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Emergency Department of a 97-bed acute care hospital

Patient population spans the full age spectrum, from pediatric to geriatric
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required

13-week contract
-
Floating required on a rare basis, limited to skill-appropriate units or as an additional set of hands
-
No on-call requirements

EMR: Meditech
-
Active VA or Compact RN license required
-
Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience

Proficiency in core ER skills including phlebotomy, IV placement, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel assignment

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across the full age spectrum in a fast-paced ED setting

Self-motivated and self-sufficient candidates who are patient-centered and focused on delivering positive patient and family experiences are strongly preferred

Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
