Overview
The Director of Clinical Services works under limited supervision related to program activities, not limited to development, implementation, coordination, evaluation and reporting of assigned programs. Provides leadership and oversight of community health initiatives. Responsible for managing and executing grant workplan activities under the guidance of the Health Director and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS) program staff. Develops, promotes and implements program coordination duties and functions while following the strategic plan for the nine-county health district, SWNPHD’s Accreditation standards, and state and/or federal guidelines.
The Director of Clinical Services is authorized and charged with the responsibility of coordinating and/or delegating Community Health Worker (CHW) work, dental services, lead screenings, preventive health screenings, immunization and other clinical services among SWNPHD, public health partners, and NDHHS.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain working relationships and collaborate with other local health departments, NDHHS, community organizations, health systems, contractors, community partners and others
- Plan, schedule and facilitate meetings with program staff and partners, in person, or by conference call or web conferencing
- Oversee CHW program with staff and local partners
- Lead and facilitate collaborative change initiatives with health system and community partners to meet workplan objectives and community health improvement plan goals
- Develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate all aspects of assigned programs for quality and efficiency, using evidence-based best practices and social determinates of health.
- Credentialing and license renewal
- Oversee proper charting
- Attend/participate in meetings arranged by the State or public health partners, for the purpose of addressing systemic issues that will affect the coordination of public health program.
- In-person visits with public health partners as identified by the Health Director and other SWNPHD team members which may comprise approximately 30% of time outside of the office.
- Maintain, update and oversee protocols and standing orders
- Implement a marketing plan for each activity and program to include identification of the market audience.
- Assign or write news releases for programs following news release planning schedule
- Act as backup for other staff members in assigned activities as identified by the Health Director

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
