Join our vibrant team as a Zoo Gift Shop Retail Supervisor, where you will lead the daily operations of our bustling gift shop located within the zoo. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily retail operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead, train, and develop retail staff in customer service excellence, product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory control through merchandising, stocking, and implementing effective inventory management strategies.
- Oversee sales management activities such as pricing strategies, promotional displays, upselling techniques, and achieving sales targets.
- Enforce store policies on cashiering, cash handling, and compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize management skills to supervise shift schedules, organize workflow efficiently, and ensure excellent customer service through phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Support operational management by overseeing merchandising efforts aligned with branding goals and ensuring store cleanliness and organization.
- Foster a positive team environment through leadership in training & development initiatives while promoting organizational skills among staff.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team management and store operations.
- Familiarity with retail store product knowledge across diverse merchandise categories relevant to gift shop environments.
- Exceptional managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service.
