Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and self-care skills.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support client progress.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients during therapy sessions, providing direct behavioral therapy tailored to their needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistency and understanding of care plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling medical documentation and client records.
- Participate in ongoing training related to special education, behavior management, and ethical guidelines for behavior analysts.
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and implementing ABA therapy protocols.
- Strong skills in data collection, behavior management, and client communication.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving functional independence.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and documentation standards for behavioral health.
- Home-based behavioral experience or school experience is a plus.
- Commitment to professional ethics and adherence to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
