Position Overview We are seeking a warm, positive, and collaborative Full-Time Assistant Teacher for our Toddler Classroom. In this role, you will work closely with a lead teacher to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging space for infants to explore, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving care to toddlers, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being throughout the day.
- Engage with children in age-appropriate developmental activities, including floor play, reading, and sensory exploration.
- Collaborate effectively with classroom team members to maintain a positive, forward-thinking learning environment.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom.
- Communicate warmly and professionally with families.
Minimum Requirements
- A genuine love for working with toddlers and young children.
- Prior experience working with children in a group or professional setting.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including sitting on the floor, lifting and carrying children, and actively participating in all classroom activities.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check with a clean record.
Preferred Qualifications
- A CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree (or a strong willingness to enroll in and complete a CDA program, which we actively support).
- Knowledge of Hebrew language and Jewish culture is a wonderful plus.
