Job Description
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
JOB FUNCTION: To transport students safely to and from their selected bus stop to Charter School
HOURS: Monday-Friday 6:00am -9:00am and 2:30pm -6:00pm
SOME OF THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
- Safely transport kids to and from designated pick ups and drop off destinations to include but not limited to School, After School programs, Sports Activities, Summer Camp Programs and their private residences in a safe, timely, secure and professional manner.
- Maintains knowledge of assigned bus routes and students assigned to the bus.
- Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws, policies, regulations, administrative codes and transportation operation guidelines.
- Follow all safety rules as students are boarding and exiting the buses.
- Perform Pre-Trip inspections checklist to ensure that everything is in working order
- Perform Post-Trip inspection checklist including ensuring all students have exited the bus.
- Secure bus at the end of the scheduled route ensuring vehicle is properly parked and all windows and doors are secure.
Exercise responsible leadership. Communicate in a professional and positive manner at all times with parents, staff, school officials and any other individuals that you may come in contact with. Maintain current updates on job appropriate technology and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Your current driving record must be in good status (not suspended, disqualified or revoked).
- Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
- Must have or ability to obtain a CDL License with P/S endorsements.
- Ability and willingness to work with students and adults in a positive and professional manner.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
