The Local Operations Manager will organize, oversee, and implement the daily field operations of the company, which include maintenance and repair, housekeeping services, home inspections, and vendor management. This individual is responsible for ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently while supporting and coaching team members to achieve high performance.
Because this role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, the ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of operational procedures, excellent planning skills, and the ability to manage diverse activities effectively. They should be a proven leader who can identify and implement the most efficient ways to run the business.
The Operations Manager will also serve as the first point of contact for owners and guests when issues arise. For this reason, the candidate must be outgoing, professional, and energetic, with the ability to remain confident and composed in a fast-paced environment. Above all, the ideal candidate will leave a lasting positive impression through strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a commitment to outstanding service.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations and workflow management of properties to optimize team productivity and meet objectives. Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and quality outcomes.
· Conduct regular inspections prior to guest and owner arrivals.
· Manage escalated guest and homeowner concerns by responding to emails, calls and work orders.
· Develop and grow a relationship with the owners of the properties by proactively communicating and becoming the subject matter expert of those properties ensuring they are clean, maintained and well cared for.
· Meet and maintain company standards and metrics such as owner and guest survey metrics, standard property appearance, and efficiency.
· Support the budget for your portfolio adhering to set annual costs, with the ability to perform a cost-benefit analysis.
· Onboard new units that join the portfolio.
· Ability to perform light home maintenance (light bulbs, fix door hinges, unclog toilet, etc.)
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
· Experience working in hotels, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred.
· 1-2 years’ experience working in operational support roles; housekeeping and maintenance highly preferred.
· Prior experience in supervisory or management level positions in a similar industry is highly preferred.
· Technical computer skills are required on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
· Basic knowledge of home systems and ability to troubleshoot simple issues such as resetting an internet router, tightening a door hinge, or plunging a toilet
· This role involves frequent travel between worksites, so reliable personal transportation is essential.
· Dependable and prepared. Showing up on time and ready to go is key to creating great stays for our guests and peace of mind for our homeowners.
· Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
· Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and being able to share information in a way that’s clear, thoughtful, and represents the company in a positive way always
Requirements:
· High School diploma required, degree preferred
· Work may take place indoors or outdoors, in a variety of settings including private homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities — often in varying weather conditions.
· We’re in hospitality and our schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require flexibility to support this.
· Hybrid work environment with in-person local office worktime required.
· Reliable transportation is required.
· Regular travel within the market and/or region.
· Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.

Employment Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
