The Primary Aluminum Trader is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of customers and suppliers within the primary aluminum market, with a focus on ingots, billets, sow, and other primary aluminum products. This role combines business development, account management, commodity trading, and market analysis to drive profitable growth while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has experience trading primary aluminum products and a strong understanding of global aluminum markets, pricing mechanisms, logistics, and supply chain dynamics
Primary Aluminum Trader Benefits
Primary Aluminum Trader Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a portfolio of customers purchasing primary aluminum products, including ingots, billets, sow, and other primary forms.
Build long-term B2B relationships with manufacturers, extruders, foundries, distributors, and industrial customers.
Monitor and interpret aluminum market conditions, including LME pricing, regional premiums, freight, currency fluctuations, and global supply-demand trends.
Primary Aluminum Trader Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Metallurgy, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience trading primary aluminum products, including ingots, billets, sow, or similar commodities.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of aluminum alloys, extrusion billet specifications, foundry alloys, and customer applications.
