Overview
Join our dynamic team , we're hiring for local/regional intermodal CDL drivers around Joliet/Chicago land area. We're a small family owned company with about 7-8 trucks. We have our own chassis's and we're very flexible with you on scheduling. Drivers are averaging around $1400-$1800, our top earners are averaging around $2k - $2300. 5 days a week, weekends are optional.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, locally and some regional routes. Home everyday.
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and efficient delivery routes
- No touch freight
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Document delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance paperwork accurately in accordance with DOT regulations
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and hazardous materials handling protocols
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Excellent navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
