Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging CPR classes tailored to diverse audiences, including adults and community groups
- Demonstrate proper techniques for CPR, first aid, AED use, and emergency response procedures with clarity and confidence
- Develop lesson plans that align with current safety standards and certification requirements
- Assess participant understanding through practical exercises, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate attendance records, certification documentation, and course completion reports
- Stay updated on the latest first aid protocols, safety regulations, and instructional best practices
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging questions, active participation, and confidence-building
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching or classroom instruction, preferably in health or safety education
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex procedures to learners of all levels
- Knowledge of CPR techniques, first aid procedures, AED operation, and emergency response protocols
- Experience in swimming or lifeguard roles is highly desirable for understanding aquatic safety contexts
- Excellent lesson planning abilities to create engaging and effective training sessions
- Ability to speak confidently in public settings while maintaining an energetic and motivating presence
- Prior lifeguard experience or adult education background enhances your effectiveness as an instructor
