Position Summary:
The Scaffold Helper is an entry-level position responsible for assisting scaffold carpenters and leadmen in the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems. This role requires close supervision and a strong willingness to learn proper scaffold procedures and safety practices. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and eager to develop skills in the scaffold trade.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Leadman and Carpenter in the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.

Help transport materials and equipment to designated work areas.

Participate in the chain line process to safely pass scaffold components.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping upon completion of scaffold tasks.

Help secure and load scaffold materials for transportation to and from job sites.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadman or Carpenter to support daily operations.
Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of scaffolding materials and procedures preferred.

Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.

Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Physically able to lift and carry materials and work at heights as required.

Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing (some client sites require this)
Preferred:

Valid TWIC card and OSHA or safety council certifications.

Prior experience working in industrial or construction environments.
