A UPS Store Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting customers with their shipping and printing needs, as well as selling additional services and products. This is position is specifically for weekday and weekend support including the following responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, offering solutions to their needs, and ensuring a positive in-store experience.
- Package Handling: Receive, process, and ship packages using UPS and other carriers' services, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Print Services: Managing printing and copying orders to produce documents, flyers, brochures, and other materials according to customer specifications.
- Sales: Promote and sell UPS Store products and services, including packaging materials, mailbox rentals, notary services, and document finishing options.
- Problem Resolution: Address customer concerns, complaints, or issues promptly and professionally, striving to find satisfactory solutions.
- Inventory Management:** Monitor and manage store inventory, restocking supplies, and ordering additional products as needed.
- Mailbox Services: Assist customers in renting and managing mailbox services, receiving and forwarding mail and packages.
- Transaction & Processing: Handling cash and credit card transactions, maintaining a secure cash drawer.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and well-maintained, including monitoring and performing routine equipment maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. 17 or older
2. Customer service experience, preferably in a retail or service-related setting.
3. Familiarity with shipping and mailing procedures is a plus.
4. Proficiency in using office equipment, including printers, copiers, and computers.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
7. Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions.
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
9. Knowledge of UPS and other shipping carriers' services is beneficial
Hours of Operation:
- Mon – Fri (8:00am – 6:30pm)
- Sat & Sun (10:00am – 4:00pm)
Working weekends required - Saturday & Sunday
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
