The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our properties safe and problem-free.
If you do not have any experience, we are willing to train you. We do have SLED certified trainers on staff to provide you with the proper training courses to become a SLED certified Security Officer.
We are looking for someone to start the week July 27 or August 3 at the latest. This is an unarmed position.
You must be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6AM to 6PM.
This positions hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors and windows
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be a US Citizen
- A valid drivers license is required
- Have a reliable means of transportation
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
- Pass all required background and drug screenings
- Must have a smartphone to operate our reporting software
- Must be able to physically perform routine foot patrols, climb stairs, ramps, do moderate lifting and be in various environments
- Must have effective written and oral communication skills
- MUST BE PROACTIVE
