Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Attendant and Cashier, where you will be the friendly face and efficient operator at our busy fueling station. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling, product inquiries, and store needs
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Conduct product demos for new or featured items to engage customers and boost sales
- Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and replenish supplies to ensure a well-organized store environment
- Maintain cleanliness of the store area, fuel pumps, and surrounding premises for safety and presentation
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders over the phone
- Assist with inventory management by stocking and merchandising products effectively
- Support supervising staff during busy periods or when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Promote safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of fuel and chemicals
Qualifications
- Previous grocery store or retail experience preferred; strong familiarity with retail sales transactions is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering processes required
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members alike
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Supervising experience in retail or food service environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, and product demos preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or cleaning areas
