Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Aquatics Director to lead our organization in delivering exceptional member and guest experiences and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality, and a proven track record in program management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage resources effectively while ensuring top-tier member and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Oversee and monitor daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations and conducts and ensures proper maintenance of pool. Maintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and pol/facility maintenance.
- Assists in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance facility member and guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Manage events from conception to execution, coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Management of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance.
- Establish strong relationships with facility members and guests, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and services effectively.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the recreation industry, preferably in aquatics or similar environments.
- Strong skills in program and management with a demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple programs successfully.
- Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
- Proficient in financial management practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with facility members, guests and team members alike.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
