We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional AM/PM Dispatcher to join our team during the school year. This part-time position plays a critical role in supporting our drivers, students, families, and school transportation operations. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, communicates effectively, and enjoys being part of a close-knit, family-oriented company.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and listen to voicemail messages each morning and post relevant information to the dispatch board.
- Provide live dispatch support through telephone and two-way radio communications.
- Be available and present for drivers before and after their routes.
- Ensure all drivers are accounted for and routes are covered each morning.
- Maintain the driver lounge and restroom areas to ensure they remain clean, stocked, and welcoming.
- Communicate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
- Assist with student transportation updates, including route additions, changes, and communications with Kindergarten families.
- Support daily operational needs and help resolve transportation issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate communication between drivers, management, schools, and families.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using telephones, two-way radios, and basic computer systems.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Previous dispatch, transportation, administrative, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to train for CDL and SB endorsements within 1st year.
