MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Gorham, ME 04038
This is a full time, hourly, in person position requiring eight hour shifts, Monday through Friday
· Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
· Performing preventative maintenance
· Handling basic repairs and maintenance
· Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
· Diagnosing repair issues and correcting them
· Repairing structures as necessary within the scope of certifications or licenses
· Reporting of work conducted using the company software and hardware
· Interacting and communicating with clients, customers, and coworkers in a professional manner
· Able to support on call rotation with other teammates
· Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
· Proven maintenance experience such as basic carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, siding, and decks
· Knowledge or ability to install LVT, snap lock, and carpet tile flooring
· Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
· Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
· Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
· Valid driver’s license
· Reliable transportation
· Should be comfortable working on ladders
· Basic computer skills to include email, company software, and smartphone
· Strong organizational and follow up skills
· Eye for detail
· Professional presentation and attitude
· Ability to maintain focus while working individually, or as a team member
· Strong time management skills
Basic hand Tools such as hammer, tape measure, pliers, and screw drivers, etc. are the personal responsibility of the technicain at all times during employment. Power tools or specialty tools needed to perfom work assigned will be provided by Dirigo Management Company. Transportation to and from the worksite is the responsibility of the technician.
