HSE Manager – Facility Management Team
Summary
The HSE Manager is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs across the plant. This role ensures compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate HSE regulations and directives, particularly in relation to facility management and maintenance operations. The position also oversees HSE training initiatives, incident investigations, and supports safety culture enhancement throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in a manufacturing or maintenance-intensive environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ISO standards.
- HSE-related certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, ASP) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of maintenance and facility-related HSE risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or Korean is preferred.
Essential Functions
- Lead and support plant-wide safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits focused on facilities and maintenance operations.
- Develop and administer safety training programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare incident reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Facility, Maintenance, and Utility teams to ensure safety protocols are embedded in operational procedures.
- Supervise daily safety-related activities of HSE technicians and/or third-party contractors.
- Administer site-specific safety programs (e.g., Fall Protection, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Mobile Equipment Safety).
- Facilitate and document emergency response drills and maintain emergency preparedness plans.
- Oversee subcontractor safety compliance during on-site work, including pre-task planning, risk assessment, and adherence to company safety procedures.
- Conduct safety orientations and job hazard briefings for subcontractor personnel.
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections on subcontractor activities and ensure immediate correction of non-compliance.
- Maintain accurate and current safety records, training logs, permits, and inspection checklists.
- Participate in internal and external audits; ensure timely resolution of any findings.
- Provide support during off-shift and weekend operations, including HSE coverage planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall business.
May require on-call availability for emergencies or plant issues outside regular working hours.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
