Le Belleair Cafe, French bakery, renowned for its commitment to excellence in the preparation of high-quality coffee, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Barista to join our team. This role requires a professional with a deep knowledge of coffee preparation, as well as exceptional customer service skills.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and healthy drinks.
- Take customer orders and process payments using the cash register.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area, including clearing empty plates and glasses, cleaning tables between each service, sweeping the floor and cleaning the restroom.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
- Communicate effectively with guests to ensure their needs are met.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of products.
- Operate the Toast POS system to input orders accurately
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista is required.
- Passion for coffee and a deep understanding of different types of beans, roasting methods, and brewing processes.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and experience using a cash register.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
