Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with product inquiries
- Conduct product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales area is clean and inviting
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with precision
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by participating in stock counts and replenishing merchandise as needed
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially when guiding new team members or managing busy shifts
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and upselling techniques is desirable
