WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Performs daily chemical checks, bath “analysis” (titrations) to maintain accurate parameters on all plating and pretreatment baths. Maintains a schedule of chemical change-out. Perform plating tests and troubleshoots plating problems. Maintains records of maintenance, tank cleaning, and chemical make-up of raw materials. • Perform daily chemical check and bath "analysis" titrations on all plating and pretreatment bath to ISO requirements. • Make additions of chemical components as required to meet specifications. • Perform several plating tests and troubleshoot plating problems. • Maintains a schedule of chemical change-out, including tank pump-out and chemical makeup. • Maintains record of maintenance, tank cleaning, dummy plating, and carbon treatment of plating medium. • Maintains accurate inventory of freshly prepared electrolyte for back up and emergency use. • Maintains accurate records and logs of processes, materials and results. • Ensure that tools and machines are maintained in clean and proper condition for usage. • Follow all safety procedures, including wearing of required protective equipment.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
A High School diploma or its equivalency is required, technical school training, apprenticeship program or equivalent. In addition, candidate must have the ability to read and interpret chemical and quality specifications. Skill in the wet chemical testing common to the trade and knowledge and skill in use and operation of plating equipment and statistical processes. Adherence to Quality Policy and Standard Operating Procedures and knowledge of those procedures will be a part of the daily process. Must be motivated, focused, and clear thinking. Ability to work safely and utilize good housekeeping is mandatory.
