Luna CPA, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing public accounting practice. Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, partnership, corporate, and S corporation tax returns.
- Assist with international information returns, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, FBAR, and Form 8938 filings.
- Perform bookkeeping and accounting services using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, payroll, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist clients with payroll processing, payroll tax filings, and sales tax compliance.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Support tax planning and consulting projects for business and individual clients.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and answer accounting and tax-related questions.
- Assist with IRS, state tax authority, and regulatory correspondence when needed.
- Maintain organized electronic workpapers and ensure compliance with firm procedures and professional standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and accounting principles.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of individual and business tax return preparation.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with foreign reporting and international tax compliance is a plus.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $65,622.73 per year
