The Shot Room clinical staff member is a key member of the allergy practice, helping provide an atmosphere of compassionate and quality care to patients and their families. The Shot Room clinical staff member upholds the standards of professional conduct and performance. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, resource utilization, and environmental health. Adheres to all policies related to PHI and HIPAA privacy practices.
Specific Job Duties:
- Responsible for assisting in giving quality patient care to patients and in other areas as needed
- Administer allergy immunotherapy and venom immunotherapy shots per build up and scheduled protocols
- Maintain an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients
- Greet patients and prepare them for their injections
- Assist in recalls and putting up extract
- Screen patients for appropriate clinical information and accurately document relevant medical information using EMR system
- Monitoring for anaphylaxis and assisting providers with systemics
- Administering biologics and reordering as directed
- Provide compassionate, professional patient care and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Provide appropriate patient education
- Provide continuity of care while communicating with all team members
- Correctly and efficiently document all patient encounters in EMR system, including but not limited to: completing shot records, new start, and extract pickup paperwork
- Other duties as assigned by leadership and supervisory staff
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
