Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Assistant Teacher – Help Young Learners Thrive
The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children while partnering with experienced Lead Teachers to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
What You'll Do
Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities

Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play

Encourage children's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through hands-on activities

Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom

Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators

Follow all Michigan childcare licensing regulations and center policies

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required

Previous childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred

CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus

Reliable, patient, and team-oriented

CPR and First Aid certification preferred
