PITTSFIELD LOCATION ONLY
Guido’s Fresh Marketplace is looking for a friendly, dependable Cashier to join our Front-End team in Pittsfield. In this customer-facing role, you’ll help create a positive shopping experience by assisting customers at checkout, operating the cash register, bagging groceries, and providing support at the customer service desk. This position reports to the Front-End Manager and department supervisors.
We have full-time and part-time opportunities available. Weekend and closing-shift availability is required, and additional flexibility is always appreciated. Hours may vary based on availability and business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
- Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register – changing tapes and ribbon as necessary.
- Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy.
- Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.
- Answers department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette.
- Prioritizes department needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Pay Range: Up to $17.00, commensurate with experience.
