Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00
Shift: 2nd shift 5P-1A
Schedule: Monday–Friday with mandatory overtime

Lofton Staffing is hiring a Band Saw Operator for a steel supplier in North Houston. This is a full-time first shift opportunity with steady hours, overtime availability, and long-term potential. We are seeking a dependable candidate with mechanical aptitude who is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Operate band saws and cutting equipment to produce parts to specification

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Accurately measure and cut material to within 1/32 of an inch

Perform quality checks using micrometers and measuring tools

Complete routine equipment maintenance and basic upkeep

Use hand tools to fabricate or modify components as needed

Retrieve tube and bar stock from yard using forklift

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Work with team members to meet daily production goals
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
-
Previous saw operation experience in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

Experience using micrometers, tape measures, and hand tools
-
Forklift experience required

Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work overtime as needed
