- Job Title: Registered Nurse- Obstetrics (OB)/Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Location: Olympia Fields, IL
- Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks- With possibly extension
- Schedule: Nights shift- 12 hrs
- Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 hours
Pay:
- Gross Weekly Pay (Traveler): $2,000/Week( Includes Lodging & M&I Stipends $1,570)
- Pay rate: $50/hr. (Local)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse – Obstetrics (RN OB) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery/OB unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in maternal and newborn care and the ability to work effectively during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and OB procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Educate patients and families on prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide critical interventions when needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior experience in Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics- Required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- BLS certification required
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification is required
