Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines and floor scrubbers
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks like minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management
- Execute specialized cleaning procedures for industrial or commercial spaces, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Assist with floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality
- Support general facilities maintenance duties including painting touch-ups in residential or commercial settings when needed
- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and use of cleaning machinery
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Knowledge of cleaning products, safety procedures, and proper handling of equipment ensures efficient work practices
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- Strong work ethic with a proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention
