Schedule: Seeking a live-in DSP
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable in-home caregiver to provide personalized support for an individual with developmental disabilities.
Staff must be reliable and attentive during shift. The individual is mobile and verbal, high functioning, and does not engage in behaviors. The individual tends to hyper fixate on things that can disrupt their routine, but they can be re-directed. The staff will also assist with cooking, cleaning, taking the individual into the community/appointments, and assisting with supervision.
Staff must have a reliable vehicle for going into the community.
Responsibilities:

Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment.

Support medication reminders or administration as directed.

Assist with light housekeeping related to the client's care.

Transport or accompany the client to appointments, errands, or community outings.

Monitor and report any changes in health, behavior, or needs to the family or supervising staff.
Qualifications

Valid NJ Non-Probationar Driver's License

High school diploma or equivalent

CPR/FA certification if completed

Minimum one year of experience working in a group home setting with those with developmental disabilities

Must have own vehicle and valid car insurance to drive client into the community
