Summary/Objective
The Warehouse & Distribution Manager is responsible for ensuring proper procedures are in place and being followed for efficient warehousing, internal inventory movements and receiving/shipping activities within voestalpine Automotive Components Cartersville. The position will ensure reliable inventory levels throughout the warehouse at all times as well as providing production with required materials in time and in full.
Essential Functions

- Assures specific quality guidelines are met and, if necessary, takes appropriate actions and measures to rectify quality issues.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area.
- Ensures 99% inventory accuracy and OTIF shipping performance.
- Drives performance by installing the correct performance control system on a shift, day and weekly basis.
- Manages the physical and administrative handling of Inbound and Outbound shipments.
- Ensures production is supplied with materials in time and in full.
- Ensures the proper use of systems and procedures by the team for all stock movements.
- Ensures required process flows and work instructions are in place and up to date at all times.
- Coaches and develops needed competencies for the warehousing teams.
- Drives inventory control & cycle count processes.
- Develops lay-outs and product flows for a warehouse in development.
- Follows all guidelines set forth in our 5s training.
- Other duties and responsibilities can be assigned based on company needs and skills level.

Supervisory Responsibility
Full responsibility up to 100 warehouse associates that will be performing various warehouse functions.

Physical Demands

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In order to meet our customer’s demands this role may be required to perform work outside of business hours including weekends.
Travel
Limited travel is expected for this role. Travel can be either international or national.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Logistics
- Minimum of two years of experience in automotive, logistics or related industry
- Minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role managing a diverse workforce
- SAP working experience with relevant warehouse modules
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Business administration, engineering or Logistics field
- More than five (5) years of experience working in a warehouse and distribution manufacturing plant, performing full cycle shipping, receiving and inventory responsibilities
- More than three (3) years of experience creating root cause analysis reports for inventory discrepancies
- More than two (2) years of experience supervising warehouse staff
