Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and readiness for service
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as slicing ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support meal preparation by organizing ingredients and following recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sanitizing surfaces, floors, and storage areas according to safety standards in production
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food handling, prep tasks, and timely service delivery
- Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are upheld at all times

Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations and food industry standards
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and food handling procedures
- Culinary experience including basic cooking skills, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members
- Experience with catering or large-scale food preparation is a plus but not required
