Description of Position
Performs echocardiograms, including m-mode, 2-dimensional color flow Doppler studies, requiring recognition of normal versus abnormal cardiac anatomy. Assists cardiologist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs). Performs 12-lead electrocardiograms as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Previous experience in approved echocardiographic laboratory required. Registered or registry eligible in ultrasound desirable; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Basic Life Support (BLS), Level A certification required, with retraining once every two years.
Starting Hourly Rate $53.67
