Crown Staffing is currently seeking experienced Quality Control Inspectors to fill openings with a local Manufacturing company in Riverside, MO.
Position Summary: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring automotive components and assemblies meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This role supports production operations through inspections, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities-
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on automotive parts and assemblies.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
- Verify products meet blueprint, engineering drawing, and customer specification requirements.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products.
- Complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and production records accurately.
- Assist with containment activities and corrective actions related to quality concerns.
- Support production teams in maintaining quality standards and reducing defects.
- Follow control plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all PPE and safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, production personnel, and quality engineers.
Qualifications-
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.
- Automotive industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications preferred.
- Experience using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements-
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive movement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Work Environment-
- Automotive manufacturing facility
- Fast-paced production environment
- Day and night shifts may be required
- Overtime and weekend work may be necessary based on production demands
Preferred Skills-
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards
- Familiarity with SPC, APQP, PPAP, and root cause analysis
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Experience with automotive metal stamping or assembly processes preferred
