Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team! As a Dog Groomer, you will provide high-quality grooming services for a variety of dogs while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, with the potential to advance into a Lead Groomer position within a few months based on performance, leadership, and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Clear growth path with the opportunity to advance to a Lead Groomer position in a short timeframe
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing for various breeds of dogs
- Assess the condition of dogs' coat and skin, and recommend appropriate grooming techniques
- Provide gentle handling and restraint of dogs during grooming procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests
- Monitor the health and well-being of dogs during grooming sessions
- Maintain accurate records of services provided
Requirements:
- 2+ years of previous experience as a Dog Groomer, 3+ years ideal
-4 dog per day minimum
- Knowledge of different grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain pets when necessary
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) such as large dogs
- Certification from a recognized grooming school is desirable but not required
