Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Class A Driver to join our team, specializing in both local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers across local routes and OTR assignments, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling
- Drive various types of trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks to meet diverse customer needs
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, identifying maintenance issues or safety concerns before departure
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and vehicle utilization
- Secure loads properly for transit, ensuring compliance with safety standards for different freight types such as freight shipments or specialized cargo like tanker liquids or flatbed materials
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during trips
Required
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Clean driving record (no violations)
- Must pass background check
- Ability to pass DOT drug test and physical
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
Compensation
- $0.8 + per mile
- Weekly $2400 +
- 1-2 days trip mainly
