Strategic Projects Analyst
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department’s Customer Service Center Group is responsible for the administration and oversight of back-office operations related to toll transaction processing, customer account management, and vendor performance. This role is responsible for monitoring operational activities, identifying and resolving issues, analyzing trends, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to quickly identify problems and drive them toward resolution.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of E-ZPass Projects, the selected candidate will support all of the customer service center related programs through the following activities:
· Monitor ongoing projects, communications, and workflows to identify issues
· Draft and edit emails, presentations, and other business communications
· Track project deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up tasks
· Develop & maintain issue list and brief manager on current status
· Draft & maintain meeting notes and define & follow-up on action items
· Gather and organize data using Microsoft applications
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
· Must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
· Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience in project planning, software development, customer service system, toll system, or point of sale system project or program management, data management, and/or customer service with quantitative and analytical skills – recent graduates with demonstrated expertise will also be considered
Desired
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI)
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong research, analytical and organization skills
· Ability to gather data, perform process analysis, and provide recommendations
· Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Process-orientation with a strong bias for action
· Ability to think strategically and creatively
· Knowledge of toll/transportation revenue systems and/or back-office operations (not required)
