Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments.
- Assist with legal research and investigating local county rules to gather pertinent information across multiple practice areas.
- Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files through efficient document management systems; ensure proper filing and retrieval of case materials.
- Support project management initiatives by tracking deadlines, preparing reports, and coordinating tasks to ensure timely completion of legal projects.
- Handle client communications with professionalism via phone etiquette; interview clients or witnesses as needed for case preparation.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of multiple practice areas such as estate planning, criminal law, family law, real estate law, and business law .
- Proficiency in computer skills and typing.
- E-filing
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and efficiently in a work place environment.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents; attention to detail for proofreading.
- Familiarity with document review processes and data entry procedures; experience with electronic e- filing systems is preferred.
- Ability to perform legal administrative tasks such as calendaring deadlines, managing files systematically, and supporting transactional workflows.
- Effective communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette; capable of interviewing clients or witnesses confidently.
