Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Recruiter and Payroll Manager to join our team. This pivotal role combines talent acquisition with payroll administration, ensuring the seamless onboarding of top talent and accurate, timely employee compensation. This role is employed by LAND FUND XVIII and not The Empire Hotel
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts across various channels to attract diverse talent pools.
- Utilize job boards, social media (like LinkedIn), and professional networks to identify potential candidates .
- Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and perform initial interviews to assess candidate suitability and skills.
- Present job offers, negotiate salary and benefits, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Guide new hires through the initial transition and ensure a smooth hiring experience.
- Manage the weekly payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Determine payroll liabilities by calculating and submitting federal, state, and local income taxes, Social Security, unemployment, and workers' compensation. Manage W-2/W-4 processing, garnishments, and reporting.
- Proven experience in recruiting with strong background in payroll management with familiarity with ADP.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure compliance across all HR functions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high standards of confidentiality.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a closely related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in recruitment, HR, payroll or a related administrative role.
- Advanced proficiency in automated payroll services (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paylocity, Gusto), HRIS platforms, and Excel.
- A solid understanding of basic employment laws, labor regulations, and fair hiring practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a high level of interpersonal and networking abilities.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions and projects simultaneously.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
