Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kickstart your career in the electrical industry! Under the guidance of experienced electricians, you will gain practical experience working on commercial and industrial electrical projects, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code). Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with electrical systems installation, wiring, conduit bending, and electrical blueprint interpretation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks on construction sites.
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following safety protocols and industry standards.
- Conduct electrical wiring tasks, including conduit installation, cable pulling, and connection of electrical components.
- Follow strict safety procedures related to electrical work, including proper use of testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and construction site regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience or training in industrial or commercial electrician work is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards and the NEC is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with conduit bending, electrical wiring, blueprint reading, and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Construction site experience or related construction background is preferred.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including working with low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team of skilled tradespeople.
