We are seeking an experienced New Car Sales Manager with experience to lead our new vehicle department. You will be responsible for leading and developing a high‑performing new car sales team, optimizing inventory and pricing strategy, and delivering an exceptional guest experience while supporting a culture of accountability and growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and motivate the new car sales team to achieve volume, gross, and CSI objectives while delivering a guest‑first experience.
- Oversee all aspects of the new car sales process including lead management, showroom traffic, desking deals, and coordination with F&I to ensure smooth delivery.
- Manage new vehicle inventory mix and aging: work with the GM and inventory/ordering team on Toyota allocations, trades, and pricing strategies to maximize turn and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Toyota OEM programs, sales processes, certification standards, and reporting requirements.
- Analyze sales performance, closing ratios, and lead sources; adjust processes, training, and staffing to improve results.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that emphasizes consistent processes, ethical selling, and continuous skill development.
- Handle customer escalations professionally and work to retain guests and protect the dealership’s reputation.
- Collaborate with Service, Used Car, and F&I leadership to drive overall dealership performance.
Requirements:
- Previous leadership experience in a franchised automotive dealership, specifically in new car sales; Toyota experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales volume, gross, and CSI targets in a high‑volume environment.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to set clear expectations, hold the team accountable, and develop talent.
- Deep understanding of OEM programs (incentives, stair‑steps, certification, dealer cash) and how to leverage them to drive sales and profitability.
- Comfortable analyzing reports (OEM dashboards, CRM, inventory reports) and making data‑driven decisions.
