POSITION SUMMARY
As a Park Store Staff member at Hot Springs Off-Road Park, you play a key role in helping guests Escape the Everyday through excellent service and intentional hospitality. You'll often be one of the first team members guests interact with and a trusted resource for reservations, check-in, Park information, and trip planning. From processing sales to recommending trail passes, memberships, rentals, or merchandise, you'll help guests feel welcome, informed, and ready for adventure.
No prior experience is required—we'll provide training. What matters most is a positive attitude, dependability, and a genuine desire to help guests have a great experience.
This is a hands-on position that includes greeting guests, processing sales, supporting daily operations, and working closely with other departments. You'll use basic technology, handle cash, stock shelves, answer questions, and step in to help wherever needed—including occasional cleaning, organizing, or event support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Experience & Sales
- Greet guests warmly and professionally
- Assist with guest check-in, trail passes, memberships, rentals, and Park information
- Operate cash register and handle payments accurately
- Recommend products, services, or experiences based on guest needs
- Speak positively and knowledgeably about trails, lodging, rentals, memberships, events, and Park policies
- Help maintain a family-friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout the Park Store
Operations & Merchandising
- Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and guest materials according to guidelines
- Keep the store clean, organized, and guest-ready, including sweeping, wiping counters, and organizing displays
- Use FareHarbor, Trello, Campspot, On-The-Clock, WhatsApp, and other Park systems (training provided)
- Perform basic cleaning of the store, restrooms, or shared areas as needed
Communication & Teamwork
- Follow Park policies and procedures
- Assist other departments when needed
- Report guest feedback, safety issues, or equipment concerns to supervisors
- Bring ideas and improvements to leadership when you see opportunities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- No prior experience required—just a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (mature high school students may be considered)
- Must be at least 16 years old and legally eligible to work
- Valid Driver's License preferred; may be waived for mature high school students depending on assigned responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily indoor role with occasional outdoor exposure
- Moderate to loud noise levels depending on guest traffic
- Fast-paced, high-energy workdays, especially during weekends, holidays, and special events
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Must be able to lift and move 20+ pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance
- Use of hands, wrists, and arms for computer work, merchandise handling, and restocking
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly in a busy environment
