Job Description: Custom Cabinet Door Maker
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Custom Cabinet Door Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking, precise attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to create bespoke, high-quality cabinet doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, shape, and assemble cabinet door components (stile and rail, slab, etc.) using wood, veneers, or laminate, ensuring a tight, accurate fit.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret, blueprints, drawings, and shop sketches to meet precise customer specifications.
- Machine Operation: Set up and safely operate woodworking machinery, including table saws, molders, shapers, routers, and sanders.
- Material Selection: Match materials for grain, color, and texture to ensure a uniform appearance.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring proper dimensions, joinery, and sanding.
- Finishing & Hardware: Prepare doors for finishing, sand surfaces,
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace; perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cabinet making, joinery, or furniture making.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and, ideally, CNC operation.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision in measurement and, assembly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in cabinetry is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Workshop environment with exposure to noise and dust.
- Full-time, with potential for overtime to meet project deadlines.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
