Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer at Moltz Constructors, Inc. located in Larkspur, CO. The Project Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day project management, overseeing engineering tasks, and planning project timelines. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with team members, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- Industry Experience: Civil, water/wastewater, industrial, or equivalent heavy construction.
- Education: Degree in Engineering or Construction Management/Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Core Responsibilities Experience:
- Superintendent support (planning, scheduling, coordination).
- Subcontractor & vendor coordination (submittals, materials, compliance).
- Documentation & reporting (RFIs, daily reports, meeting minutes, pay apps, change orders).
- Owner & Engineer communication (professional interaction, timely responses, accurate documentation).
- EQ Skills: Strong judgment, emotional control, communication, reliability, and collaboration.
- Familiarity with project controls (budgeting, cost coding, invoice/ticket review).
- Experience with material & equipment tracking systems.
- Prior exposure to safety tracking and compliance programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor junior staff (train your replacement mentality).
