American Traveler is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for an outreach-based traveling position covering multiple clinic locations across New Mexico, requiring 5 years of experience and ARDMS OB/GYN and Fetal Echo certification.

Outreach-based position traveling to clinic locations in Gallup, Farmington, and Santa Fe, NM daily

Specializes in low and high-level women's imaging for pregnant patients

Current ultrasound equipment includes GE E22, GE E10, and GE S10

Charting performed in Cerner

4x12-hour day shifts from 5:15 AM to 7:00 PM, including travel time between facilities

No weekend requirements and no on-call responsibilities

Team departs from the Albuquerque base clinic each morning; a driver transports the team Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, while the sonographer drives the outreach van on Tuesday (Gallup) and Friday (Santa Fe)

Sonographer must reside in Albuquerque for the duration of the assignment

Minimum of 5 years of sonography experience

ARDMS OB/GYN, ARDMS, ARDMS FE (Fetal Echo), and BLS certifications required

NM State License required (if applicable); pending state license accepted

Must be able to work independently without direct supervision

Must complete a safe driving module, as the role requires driving the outreach van on select days

COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider

Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Perform low and high-level obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations at multiple outreach clinic sites

Must be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team in a mobile outreach setting

First-time travel assignments are accepted for this position

RTO requests exceeding 7 days require approval

Travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one-year mark are required to take a 6-month break before returning
